No Lag video

I need to set up a simple camera/monitor for an organist to see the conductor when accompanying a choir. Obviously there can be NO lag, everyone needs to start at the same time. I have a spare CCTV camera with BNC connector, so purchased a 7" monitor from Amazon. However, I just get "No Signal" on the monitor - do I need some sort of amp?

That camera has power supplied to it, typically 12vDC ? Analog cameras also have standards like PAL or NTSC and that has to match monitor.
That of course if both parts are in working order.
