No Man's Sky in game question

I found a crashed ship on a planet and it's beat to hell. So off I go in my current ship to buy some supplies/gather some resources to fix it up. Well I've been wandering all over the place doing things, getting sidetracked. Now I have no idea where this crashed ship is.

Any idea how to find a point of interest again that I've already found once?

That's my major peeve with the game so far...the mapping planetside(or lack thereof). Also a compass would be great as well. They should integrate it with the line at the top of the screen.

Any ideas on finding past points of interest foilks?

You should really go to a forum that is just for No Man's Sky

There is no way to find it unless you recall its exact position, there are no markers that you can leave and come back to nor there is no local map.
