So I recently decided to add a M.2 NVMe SSD to my pc as an upgrade, but now I can't get any signal to my monitor with it in. When I remove the M.2 SSD everything works as before.
Fixes I've tried:
Things I've yet to try is updating my BIOS (nothing on the updates mention anything about ssd compatibility)
I also saw something in the BIOS about splitting PCIe lanes from 1x16 to 4x4x4x4 but would rather not do this as I think I would lose performance?
System Specs
MSI Tomahawk b450
Ryzen 5 2600
16gb Corsair Vengeance
GTX 1660
Corsair TX550w
500gb SATA SSD
1tb HDD
The M.2 SSD I'm having trouble with is the WD SN570
Fixes I've tried:
- Changing my SATA ports to all ports that aren't disabled with an m.2
- Reseating RAM, GPU, motherboard battery, all motherboard connections
- Checked my GPU was in the correct pcie slot
- Checked new m.2 is compatible with my system
