Question no other devices work with ssd

I recently installed a WDS24G2G0B SSD in my pc with it being the only hard drive. but no other devices I connect to the pc, such as HDD, phone, DVD writer seems to be recognized by it. I have tried various things from device manager to troubleshoot to no avail. at least it shows the phone, though it doesn't work. but others it doesn't show at all. the only device that seems to work is a pen drive. any solution?

fresh os install? did you reinstall all the driver?

Well I would expect bios set to read only on chipset or windows issues,

Grab this magic, make a live ubuntu usb and boot it instead of usual.
If you will still see the problem, go for bios, if problem will disspear, I would create windows rescue dvd and reinstall the thing.
