hi i need some help regarding a problem with my pc. i built it 3 years ago and the specs are a ryzen 7 2700x, msi 5500xt, 2tb hhd, 256gb m.2, msi b450 tomahawk max, and 16gb DDR4 ram. i haven’t changed anything about it nor moved any wires about but i went to turn it on the other day and all the fans, lights, etc turned on in the pc but there was no signal to my monitor nor to anything plugged into the motherboard eg keyboard and mouse, speakers, camera. does anybody have any suggestions as to what it could be or if there’s an easy fix?

What have you tried?

Try removing ram, m2 (assuming that's your OS drive), and graphics card. Turn on PC like this. It should shutdown by itself, if not, turn it off. After that disconnect power and put everything back and power on.

What do you need the screwdriver for? You shouldn't use a screwdriver to push in wires.
sorry that was bad wording from me. i had only tried pushing wires in and couldn’t try any other suggestions until today when i bought a screwdriver so i could remove the gpu. that didn’t work though so im thinking the pc got short circuited as i just moved into uni halls and an extension lead short circuited because the wiring is faulty
