I built a new PC last week (specs below) and used the stock cooler because the aio was going to be a week late. Everything ran perfect. Got the aio and installed it, now I have no picture.

To install the new cooler, I unplugged all cords and connectors connected to the mb except for the ram. I cleaned off the thermal paste, but got some on the mb by accident. I spent some time to attempt to clean it properly and it looked fine. Hooked everything back up and yeah.

Afterwards my troubleshooting included reseating the ram, graphics card, and cpu, replugging all connects on the mb, and connecting to a different monitor.

A list of things that do turn on: case lights, fans, pump, aio led, graphics card, hdd

I did notice my keyboard and mouse lights do not turn on however.

I am concerned I killed my mb or cpu. Any ideas?

Specs:
DDR4 2400
Ryzen 5 2600x
Asrock 470x gaming-itx
MSI titanium gtx 1070ti
Corsair sf600
NZXT kraken m22
WD black 256gb ssd
WD black 2tb hdd
Phanteks evolv shift

For future reference theres no need to unplug all mobo cables to switch out coolers. Just make sure its off at the wall and disconnected from screens. Anyway, are you sure you plugged the 4+4pin CPU cable back in?

Symptoms you describe are pretty typical for static discharge damage :/

Mobo will still be under warranty so contact reseller to RMA.

I had to unplug everything to remove the mb to replace the backplate.

I had missed how to clear the CMOS on it (has a sort of jumper cap), but did so and it booted afterwards. I wanted to wait a day just in case.

I apologize for the kind of waste of a post. Thank you and good day, sirs.
