PC Specs
Mobo: MSI MPG Z490 Gaming Plus
CPU: Intel Core i7-10700F
GPU: Zotac RTX 3060 12 GB DDR6
RAM: 2 x 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz
PSU: 650w
Storage: M.2 500GB SSD and 500GB 2.5 SSD
Fans - 1X140mm 2x200mm and Liquid Cooling 2x120mm

I checked with many different PSU calculators and all results were under 650W. I tried uninstalling the GPU and all the fans started spinning. When I put the GPU back in, the PC wouldn't start and the RGB lights flashed for a spit second. All parts are working as far as I know and there is a brand new 2032 battery installed. I left my PC plugged in overnight but still no power when I pushed the power button. Front Panel connections are all good.

Maximum wattage required is 541W. It is a new build and has not POSTed yet. I think I might be getting somewhere as the GPU fans twitched.

recommended PSU for that GPU is 600watts ..

what is the actual brand of the PSU..

personally i hate PSU calculators me what every is recommended by the manufacturer i go 100w more just to be safe ..

also i would be checking all cables and connections again to see if everything is plugged in correctly

650W Power Supply for PC Computer, 650W High Temperature 12cm Fan, Gaming

Brand: AOYUDJ

I'm thinking no way could 2X8 PIN be for CPU and the 1X8 PIN for the GPU.

I will be checking for loose connections.

Think you will find that with that mobo you run 2 8 pin with 1 split in 2 to the mobo

And 1 8 pin to the GPU ..

Still not sold on that PSU i highly recommend you upgrade to a decent branded PSU like a rm750e corsair or better ..

Dont forget PSU's are the life blood of your PC cheap and nasty can result in BANGS and destroying other components ..

I'm not replacing the PSU as mail wait times are bogus especially on weekends, not only that, the final part for my PC has exhausted my cash. I did take the Motherboard off, found a missing standoff screw and reapplied thermal paste and am now reinstalling the water block with optimal pressure on the backplate. I also switched the PSU PINs so that it has one 8 PIN going to the GPU. I will be done in a few minutes.

That's a "650W" PSU, unfortunately. Only 516W of +12V wattage available if you believe them, meaning it's a very cheaply made group-regulated PSU and a threat to any components used with it.

Do you have a basic GPU that you can borrow from someone, one of those $20 cheapies used to just make a PC usable? Does it seem to be booting normally without the GPU, though you won't be able to see anything? F parts aren't a great deal if you're not equipped to troubleshoot a GPU problem.

What's the exact Corsair 700W PSU? I don't remember any but the GS 700W and that's gotta be 10-15 years old now.

You don't need an 850W PSU and GameMax is not considered a reliable PSU brand. A quality 650W PSU would be far more than you need.

I'm a little confused by what's going on with your eight-pin connectors. It's hard to tell from the explanation, but there appears to be a chance you've been putting the wrong connections in the wrong places. If this is the case, it may be that you no longer have working components to test, and upgrading from a junk PSU won't fix the problem.

I switched the Corsair 700W into my new build and everything is fine again, It booted up, I installed Windows 11 Pro and all my games are showing on the 500W 2.5 SSD. Cheers.
