Question No POST After Windows Insider Crash (Tried CMOS Reset, BIOS Recovery, etc.)

Hey everyone,

I’ve run into a serious issue with my Alienware m15 R3 and I'm hoping someone here might be able to help or offer insight. Here's the sequence of events:

Issue Timeline:
I got the green screen of death. It said it was collecting data, but I force restarted the laptop, since it was stuck for sometime. Upon reboot, it went into some kind of Dell hardware diagnostic screen. It began testing memory and the hard drive or hardware i am not sure, but got stuck at 100%. I force shut it down again. Next boot, it was stuck at 29% during the same diagnostics for two tries, so I force shut it down again. After leaving the laptop off for a day and trying again, it wouldn’t boot at all—what I believe is a no POST state.

Symptoms:
Laptop turns on (fans spin up and stay running at audible speed), but nothing displays.
Caps Lock key does not respond or toggle the LED—keyboard appears completely unresponsive.
USB devices (mouse, keyboard, etc.) do not receive power—no lights, no signs of activity.
No Alienware splash screen or any sign of BIOS/UEFI boot—just a blank screen.

Troubleshooting Tried:
Drained residual power (held power button 30 sec with battery and charger disconnected).
Attempted to reset RTC clock as advised by Dell.
Tried BIOS recovery via USB and Ctrl+Esc method (no response, likely not powering USB ports).
Removed the internal battery and left it out for over 20 minutes (since the m15 R3 doesn’t have a dedicated CMOS battery).

Repeated the CMOS/RTC reset process multiple times.

System Specs:
Alienware m15 R3
32GB RAM (believed to be soldered on this model, so reseating is not possible)
2 SSDs: one with Windows 11, one with Ubuntu 22.04
RTX 2070

At this point, I’m out of ideas. I believe the system is in a no POST/no power to peripherals state. Has anyone experienced something similar or can suggest other steps to try?

Any help would be massively appreciated.

I went looking for the motherboard for your laptop;
B5KZhHGUNggYrOww.full

and you should have 2xsltos for ram withe ach slot being populated with 16GB sticks. Try and work with one stick of ram on either slots.

Very likely your motherboard's conked out.

I appreciate your help , but i believe you got the 15 r3 motherboard not the m15 r3 motherboard which has soldered ram
