Hi guys, I am starting a new PC build. I bought the ASUS Rog Strix B-350-f Gaming Motherboard, Ryzen 5 1600, Team T-Force Vulcan 8GB DDR4 2666, and Raidmax Hybrid 2 RX-530SS.
The CPU chip was a difficulty in my situation. I accidentally got thermal paste on its pins, and had to wash it off. Somewhere in the process I bent a pin, but I straightened it out perfectly, and it fit in the socket. I added all my parts and tried to turn it on. I have removed everything from the case after it did not turn on. I plugged everything in and turned on the PSU. The Motherboard heatsink LEDs turned on and I saw a orange light in the bottom right corner (right on top of the CHA_Fan2 and 3 and marked SB_PWR. I got excited because this was the first real reaction of the PC. I then used my screwdriver to connect the power switch MoBo pins while saying my prayers. It turned the CPU fans on and made the PSU fans and LED work. Unfortunately the monitor showed NO SIGNAL. I removed the HDD and retried. It still said NO POWER.
I plugged it back in and attached the MOBO speaker. It beeped one short beep, then waited a few seconds, then beeped one long beep, then three short beeps without pause, then a second wait, then one short beep. I recognized this to be one long and four short. I looked in the manual and it said HARDWARE PROBLEM. I removed everything except the PSU, CPU, and Monitor. It did not beep at all. I added RAM. It beeped the same 5 beeps.When the monitor is removed it does not beep, even with RAM.
Sorry for having such a long entry. Thanks in advance for answers. By the way I did plug in the 8 pin CPU power.
