Hi guys
I bought msi z170 gaming m5 motherboard for my new build few weeks ago and im not getting anything on my monitor 🙁

Debug error code - 99 (but if i press and hold delete key on keyboard then the code changes to Ab)

And yes i checked power supply, cpu , and ram on friends system and its good working

So i sent the motherboard for RMA and received it after 18 days and still exact same problem

When i asked them what did they fixed they told me that it was CMOS problem which they fixed. ....

but im still having exact same problem 🙁 please someone help me.

Edit:- CPU i5 6600k and RAM corsair 8gb lpx ddr4

I don't have any other cooler because the 6600k didn't come with a stock cooler. do you have any suspicions as to what the issue is? do you think the wire on the header isn't on the right pin?

Yes. If the radiator fan is 4 pin, here's what I suggest: instead of connecting the pump to the CPU_fan, connect a radiator fan to it. Of course, the pump would not run, but you'd keep the computer started only for few seconds, to check the code.
Start the board without RAMs again and see if 55 or still E0. Then power off the board.

Roughly the same price range of the ones I got. I did contact amazon they are sending me replacements for the mobo and cpu for free. SO if by some means I can ever get this mobo and/or CPU to work I have some spares. I really wold like to be team MSI (I do like ASUS but they are so expensive never tried any other brands like gigabyte or as rock but this is my first build.) I also would like to use MSI because all my other parts are already black and red but I guess I can always hide my HyperX ssd. If I do get another board I guess I could do a slight upgrade. I did really like that this board had 2 nvme m.2 ports which I was going to utilize in an upgrade. But I would rather have a functioning pc than a nice looking paperweight.

Like I said this is my first build and I have previously had a non-gaming Asus laptop that lasted for years, but building wise I have not really established any brand loyalty. SO I am open to opinions from people like your self that have been doing this for a while.

Then I suggest going with the same board (waiting for replacements). Try also buying an used or new Intel stock cooler, for firstly testing the new components with it.
Something like http://www.ebay.com/bhp/intel-stock-cooler, not too expensive. A local PC shop might also help.
