no power after hooking up ssd and optical drive

as the title says after i hooked up the sata cables i can't turn on the computer i don't even get any of the fans runnign i don't know why
could i have short circuited something while doing so

should i try to rehook everything?

i just figured it out. it turns out that one of the cables had loosen up
