No power light

Hi I used my pc in the morning without a problem. Went to switch it back on in the evening and nothing, no light on the motherboard nothing. I tried changing the mains lead , plugging it into another socket and nothing. I have a spare pc of similar spec that's been in storage for a while and although I have light on the motherboard that too wouldn't power up, I did the same as the first pc in checking but nothing. I swapped the batteries over as the 2nd pc was showing power but it wouldn't power the the motherboard on the first pc. Both pcs have a Asus z97 k and p board any suggestions ? Thanks

Have you checked the electrical outlet for power? Old house or new? Where are you located?
