Hi,

My notebook is completely dead , no LEDs are turning on ?

  • the power charger is ok
  • tested with only battery and only charger (pressing power button >30 seconds before tests)
  • CMOS battery removed
  • power jack connector is delivering power 19.xx V (tested with multi meter), should be ok
  • power is delivered to the motherboard (tested with multi meter direct on the motherboard connector)
Used these instructions:

Also unplugged:
  • HDD
  • WIFI card
  • Ram
The LED on the power supply, connected to the notebook is going off straight after unplug from the socket. At least there must be some power consumption from the device.

Anything else I can try?

If you remove cmos battery it should power on straight away without pressing the power button when you plugin ac power, that removes the possibility of a broken power button.

Try to remove the motherboard completely, only leave CPU and Power jack cable on, remove EVERYTHING ELSE. Now on non conductive surface remove (with cmos battery removed) plugin power cable, if it powers on and you get leds flashing for not found ram it was something connected for example monitor lcd or usb board which shorted
