No Signal from pc to monitor (tried basically everything I can)

So today I updated my pc and the first thing that happened is that I login and windows asked me for a update so then I did it. Later I tried signing in again and it didn't work, it was just a black screen but the only thing showing up was the cursor. So then I went into safe mode with networking, uninstalled my GPU through device manager, then restarted my pc nothing happened, then I restarted it a second time and now it's just coming up as no signal on the monitor. All the peripherals are functioning and the computer turns on of course. It's just that the monitor has no signal

Oh and also the cursor isn't showing up either anymore

im connected with a display port cable

pc specs:
- gpu: gtx 970
- ram: 16gb
- intel i7
I don't know any more information because I can't get on my pc to see it...

if you think you have an idea that might help please say it so I can try it.

I also unplugged everything and replugged it and it didn't work.

The flashing cursor usually means that the system is waiting/looking for a bootable device.

You didn't list any storage devices in your system configuration so do you actually have any attached?

Solved it, I was just being an idiot. For some reason I just replugged the display cord back in and it worked.
