No signal from pc to tv

Hey guys, I am hoping someone can help me. My monitor blew so i tried connecting my PC to my 42 inch vizio 1080p HDTVm but when i connect through the VGA cables and switch my tv to that input,m it says theres no signal. IS there anything i can do? I ordered a DVI cable in hopes that works

its possible but usually its the pins that get damaged and when you lose a pin you just start loosing colors but it couldn't hurt to try a new cable.

i think i need a bit more information. what kind of MOBO do you have? what video connections does it have onboard? you said you were connecting it directly to the TV? Have you made any hardware changes or moved around any components?

its upgraded with a 650w PSU, the graphics card i already told you about, and 4 gigs of RAM.

I also have a 120 gb hard drive and the new bare 320 gb hard drive

Ok well give this a try unplug everything from your computer even the power, once thats done press the power button to drain the charge. now remove the Graphics card and you might as well pull the HDD as well just for good measure. now connect only the things you need power mouse keyboard and plug the TV into on board VGA. double check that your TV is on the proper input typically listed as PC (if you want to be really through unplug the TV and everything connected to it wait 5 min then plug the VGA and power back into it) now power everything back up and see what you get.

tried that and nothing, still no signal. The fan on the cpu and the gpu are spinning, but still no signal.,

Could my graphics card have gone bad?

I also tried hooking it up to a different tvi n hteh ouse with the same result
