When I plug in my 3080 into my rig it doesn't display or show any signal, all that I see is that the RGB and the fans spin but I get nothing on the screen.
I took my PC to the micro center and was told that the CPU/GPU/MOBO WAS THE PROBLEM. But I tested the CPU in a friend's motherboard and it works completely fine. I bought a new Motherboard to fix the problem and got nothing so I finally switched the GPU to my old 2070 and the PC just started to work. So I sent the 3080 to get fixed by MSi and got it back and still didn't work on my PC, so then I test the "fixed GPU" at a friend's house and it displayed. And I was so lost and confused so then reinserted back into my PC and got nothing.

Here are some of my parts if it helps: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/h37q6r

Everything was tested and works fine but the main problem is why is the GPU in my Rig but it works for others?

It is possible that your current rig may not be compatible with the MSI GeForce RTX 3080 GPU due to hardware or configuration conflicts. To resolve this, make sure to update your BIOS, verify the PCIe slot, PSU, and power connectors, and ensure you have the necessary drivers installed.

so I'm trying to update the bios and I'm using the bio flashback button to update the motherboard but I'm not getting a flash of light when holding down the button. I also tried to go to the bios and use the q-flash and it's not reading the cap file.

Ensure that your motherboard's BIOS is updated to the latest version. Sometimes, new GPU models may require the latest BIOS version to work properly.

Also, there are a few possible reasons why your RTX 3080 is not displaying a signal on your monitor.

  • The display cable is not properly plugged in. Make sure that the cable is securely connected to both the graphics card and the monitor.
  • The monitor is not set to the correct input source. Check the monitor's settings to make sure that it is set to the correct input source, which is usually HDMI or DisplayPort.
  • The graphics card is not properly seated in the motherboard. Remove the graphics card and reseat it in the motherboard, making sure that it is pushed down all the way until the metal fingers on the back of the card click into place.
I hope this helps!
