I removed my cpu and then reinstalled it and now my monitor gets no signal. I've tried a different monitor but i still get the same problem. Any ideas for fixing it? my motherboard is ga990 fxa-ud5 just incase its a problem with that. I also was grounded when i removed the cpu and worked on a wooden surface so i dont think that i've damaged the cpu.

Well that's pretty scary. A few questions to help us help you:
1. Do the fans in your PC spin up? - (does anything turn on?)
2. Did you remember to put the cooler on and reapply the thermal paste?
3. Which cable/plug type did you plug the monitors into? - You need to install drivers for certain types of graphics plugs, or else they won't work. HDMI requires no drivers.
4. If you inspect your CPU, are any of the pins bent out of shape?

For now, I might suggest trying to once again re-seat the processor and make sure everything is in order: thermal paste, pins aligned correctly, etc.
