I've been having problems with waking my monitor up using my mouse. Whenever my PC goes into sleep and I turn it back on (using mouse click or power button), or I turn my monitor off for 10-15 minutes before turning it back on, I seem to get "No Signal" even when I shake my mouse.

I tried unplugging both the HDMI and USB cables (peripherals), and plugging them back in, but only restarting my PC does the trick.

I'm wondering if I'm missing a certain setting within Windows, or my Monitor / Integrated Graphics Card is causing the problem.

Thank you for the help in advance! :)

Where do you connect your mouse to the computer?

Some USB ports or USB Hub might not work because they have no power when the computer is in sleep mode.

It's connected to the back of my PC, directly to the motherboard. However, it should be getting power, purely because I can wake the PC up by clicking with my mouse, it's just the monitor display that doesn't seem to get any input when I shake the mouse / use keyboard / turn monitor on/off again.

Do you have a spare monitor to test?
Hi! Here's an update to my problem:

I have updated my drivers, and also got my hands on another monitor, and swapped the old one out after trying to re-create the problem by turning my old monitor off for 15 minutes. As expected, I couldn't get the display working after turning it back on, but when I swapped the monitor out, the other monitor worked perfectly.

To make sure that it wasn't anything to do with re-plugging the monitor cable in/out, I swapped back to the old monitor, and the display didn't load as expected.

Which means, it seems like my monitor is the faulty one and everything else is fine (and that's a huge relief).

Thank you very much for the help :)
