Question No signal

Hi I recently purchased a gtx 1060 3 gb graphics card and I’ve uninstalled my previous graphics card and installed the new one. There is light in the graphics card but no display on my monitor when I plug the cable from the monitor into the pc, I’ve tried dvi-d and HDMI and no luck. My psu is xfx pro550w. My graphics card requires an 8 pin but my psu has 6 pins with 2 pins you can attach. I don’t know what the problem is and I need help.

I need help
I recently bought a new graphics card (gtx 1060 3 gb) but after I installed it on my PC I get no display.
My specs are the following
cpu: i5-3570
gpu: amd radeon 7900 hd series
motherboard: p8b75m

What could be the issue? The card lights up and the fans runs but no display to my monitor..
Ive tried HDMI dvi d and vga none of them works should I buy a DisplayPort Caple?
