No Sound From Computer

My computer is not emitting any sound, I dont have a sound card and never did. I usualy plug my headphones directly into the dashboard on top where the fan controller knob is. ever since i installed this new corsair h100i cooling system, the sound has stopped working. obviously i have already tried the obvious, i like trying different headphones, making sure the volume is actually on and various other things.

Tried :
-updating the drivers(found no drivers)
-uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers
-system restoring the computer
-using a usb to audio device
-trying other headphones
-making sure the plugs inside the pc are all plugged in
-making sure they are all plugged in at the back
-plugging my headphones in to the back of the computer in the motherboard
-turning the computer off and on again
-reinstalling windows 10

the computers sound is at 100% and the sound on youtube or any video is also at 100%. my headphones are being read on the computer but no sound is playing back

on you second photo you headphones are not set a default device, so sound if set to default which is the one below it.

I can set them as my default device, i have done that before. the sound still wont work

You did check your connections on the motherboard for the heaphone connection & did you plug the usb in for the H101i ?

The usb for the h100i is plugged in to the motherboard at the bottom, the board is asus p9x79 . i checked the connections as best i could, everything is plugged in
