No sound on laptop

I accidentally damaged my laptop. At first, we thought only the screen had been harmed, and we got it fixed. Now, however, I've discovered my speakers aren't producing any sound. When I go to device manager, the sound, video, and game category isn't even listed. Can someone help me?

Hello ledowdy, how exactly did you damage your laptop? Was it water, fall, esd or something else? If your sound card is not showing up on device manager it might be disconnected or damaged. You could try system restore and see if that fixes it. Hope this helps.
