no sound on pc????

so, when i built my pc (windows 10) the sound was working perfectly without any problems whatsoever. but then when i installed my new gpu the onboard sound through my headphones was not working. i have asked similar questions like this on my account already but still no fix, i am trying anything and everything

Many graphics cards now incorporate their own audio adapter which, when you install the graphics driver package, installs the drivers for it's audio adapter too, and this then becomes the default audio output, overriding the on-board sound adapter.

What I did was uninstall the graphics driver package completely, then did a custom-install of the package, making sure to deselect it's audio drivers. This should leave your on-board sound adapter as the default output.

or you could right click on windows icon type "sound" and in playback devices go down the list and set as default device see if works if not then disable I have many but speakers set to default.

how do i uninstall then reinstall?

the sound that my gpu installed, everything else just vanished UPDATE: i just uninstalled my gpu drivers but still nothing, ill try and reinstall too see if it fixes anything
