No Sound Problem

My PC is reading my “headset” as “speakers” and not “headphones”.

I’ve reinstalled Realtek HD Audio Driver many times and disabled front panel jack detection, as this is what I’ve read online but it still doesn’t work and it seems it’s only me with this problem.

The headset works when plugged in the back (I know this is where speakers should go but it wouldn’t work in the front), but surround sound does not work.

On playback devices the speakers and microphone are ticked. When I play a video on YouTube the bars on speakers go up but no sound plays out of my headset. I’m stumped, any help is greatly appreciated.

I have Windows 10 64 bit
My headset is Razer Kraken Pro V2

I mean if it works in the back I’m all for it.
Its just on certain games like The Witcher 3. When I turn away from an NPC while they’re talking I get no sound from them.

what gpu do you have?
If Nvidia ....as a test run audio through hdmi and plug headset in to tv? does this work?

I have a MSI 1060 6GB GeForce
I tried and this did not work.
Also I forgot to mention but when I did plug my headset into the back of my pc, it would only work red in green and green in red?
