No sound through Logitech z200 speakers! Windows 10

I have just recently built my first PC and have installed Windows 10 on it. All my drivers are up to date and my motherboard is an ASUS Z97-A. I've installed the latest audio drivers and everything. I am at a complete loss because I bought the Logitech z200 speakers and plugged it into the green port on the rear of my computer. My computer recognizes that the speakers are plugged in, but no matter what I do, no sound ever comes out of the speakers. Sound has worked via the back of my monitor (ACER H236HL) audio in port when I plugged in headphones, but that was before I built the computer, now the port doesn't have sound either. I've looked at so many Windows 10 no sound tutorials and am extremely confused! Help please

Well I am probably the dumbest idiot ever.
The outlet in the wall that the speakers were plugged into wasn't working. I had no idea until I needed to charge my phone using the outlet and my phone didn't charge. Realized I was an idiot, plugged speakers into the other outlet, and behold there was sound. So nevermind!!! LOL
