No USB 3.1 gen 2 connector on mobo but usb C on I/O?

I have an Asus b450-f mobo and I'm building in the evolv x case. One big reason I got the mobo and case was because of usb C, but as I was building I realized that the mobo doesn't have a specific gen 2 connector but it has USB c on the rear I/O. Am I missing something or am I basically screwed with the front I/O usb C?
