I have been trying to fix this for hours...
So last night I had just finished downloading a game on steam when I got a windows 8 blue screen of death and the computer shut down. When I went to turn it on, the PC turned on, then off, and then on again, but there was NP display or anything on the monitor. The light on the monitor stayed yellow. Thinking this could be a GPU issue, I took out my card, replaced the cables for the card, and then put it back into the PC. I turned on my PC, and while it now turned on and stayed on, I still had nothing showing up on the monitor.
There is still the single beep when I turn the PC on that means everything is working, so I didn't know what the issue was.
I replaced my VGA cable, and tried to run the PC on its integrated graphics chip. Single beep and everything turned on fine, but no video on the screen.
I then tried to reset the CMOS using the jumper on my motherboard. No change.
I moved the memory to a different slot. No change.
Tried to run it without the HDD. No difference.
Everything seems to be getting power and I get a beep and everything, the only issue is that nothing comes up on the monitor. I have no idea what's wrong.
Any suggestions? I am now utterly lost.
Also, when I had the GPU in the correct slot on the motherboard but no cable connecting it to the power supply, I got a screen saying to connect the cables to the GPU. I am not sure why I get a screen then, but no screen when it is connected.
