No video no POST beep

So I did a new build yesterday and I seem to be having a bit of a issue.

First, my display is a bit old an HP LED I bought about 5 years back to use with my old system (also from 5 years back) and the display only has a VGA input port, no DVI/HDMI. My new system only has DVI and HDMI output, not VGA. so bought a small DVI to VGA converter, attached the converter to one end of the VGA cable I was using with my older system and plugged that to the DVI output on my graphics card on my new system, and the other end to the display. when I switch on the power (didnt power up the system yet) I get an error message on the display "check video cable" and the display goes to sleep. Same exact thing happens when I power on the system. System powers up. Fans spinning (case and CPU fans) MOBO LED lights up. optical drive works. NO video. Tried with the DVI output on the MOBO aswel. No luck. I am guessing its the DVI converter because I hooked up the display to my old system with the DVI converter attached to the VGA cable (the older system has a DVI output!) and and again no Video. But works when hooked up to the VGA output. So maybe I need to get a different converter probably.

The second problem I got is that when my new system powers up, no beeping on POST test. As per the MOBO manual, there are 4 POST test LEDs that lights up during POST. An LED is assigned to each of the the 4 main components (CPU,DRAM,VGA and boot device) if an error is found, the components LED stays lit up until the problem is solved. During POST, the first three component LED turns on then then off indicating no errors on them, but the boot drive LED stays on. But no issue with the hard drive as far as I can tell, because, when I hook up the HDD to my older system it boots up no problem. And also No POST beep (not sure if the POST beeps are assigned to this MOBO since the LED indicators are there) - no external or case speaker attached yet.

Now I don't even know if the system boots to windows or not since there is no display signal, I really cant tell. If it does boot to windows, and its only the video signal issue, then getting compatible devices and cables will work. If it do not boot to windows, even after the video signal isses has been fixed, then the second problem is a real problem.

system details:
MOBO - Asus ROG Strix B250F Gamming
CUP - Intel Core i5 7400
GPU - Gigabyte GTX 1050ti
RAM - ADATA - 8GB 2400mhz

Any Ideas??

@zoltan.boese..got it figured...just needed and active digital to analog converter...got myself an active DP to VGA and its all good. thanks anyway...now I can get on with my life...
Plug your monitor cable into the motherboard and remove the GPU. You should be able to enter BIOS settings.
Than mount the gpu, restart the PC and get the dedicated graphics card as default: https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/pc-components/how-set-default-graphics-card-3612668/
, switch the cable accordingly and report back!
