Question No video output on start up. Works again after shutting down and starting.

When I boot up my PC I get no video output. The only way to get it to work is if I shut off the power and start it up again.

This first started happening when I was switching the display between my PC and a Macbook. I no longer use the Macbook but I am still having this issue.

Monitor: Dell U3415W

GPU: 1080 ti

I plugged the monitor into the 2nd display port in my GPU and it seems like that fixed the problem.
