no video output w gtx 780 or r9 290/x

here's my build,
asus sabertooth z77
asus gtx 780
core i5.
1350w thermatake toughpower

the video output was working with my old radeon xfx 6870 b.e.
i just installed the gtx 780 and its just black screen..no output.this is the same case with r9 290/290x.
i tested the mb with r9 280x and it's fine. i don't know whether it's the bios settings.i'm lost.

yeah..ofc.as i mentioned it was working with my old card and the new r9 280x. im gonna flash my mb to the latest bios now..hope it works.

if it's a faulty card im one unlucky sob. when i 1st got r9 290x/290 it doesn't work, another sapphire 7970 too.. and now this.. the funny thing was, 7990 works..prolly rmaing it

Its usually heat that kills them. Make sure you keep your PC cool.

nope..im pretty sure it's not the heat. my case is corsair carbide with watercooling and tons of fans. 20c temp as of now.. I'm not sure whether im just unlucky or its the mb compatibility.
