Hello. I recently built a new PC with the following specs:

MOBO: MSI Tomahawk X870E
CPU: AMD 9800x3d
GPU: Gigabyte Auros Master 5090
RAM: 64 GB
SSD: Samsung 990 pro 4TB
OS: Windows 11

Everything seems to be working fine except when I go into the advanced startup screen (settings -> system -> recovery -> restart now).

When I enter it, I am getting no video signal. I know this is the case because if I hit enter a few times, I get to the Windows 11 login screen like I booted normally. Also, using a different monitor solved the issue.

My current Monitor is a Samsung Odyssey Neo G8. I have tried different cables and such, I also updated the firmware on it. So I'm at a loss. Any ideas aside from new monitor?

Thank you

And for the record, monitor and mobo BIOS have been updated and monitor and gpu drivers updated.

Solution
Im using displayport and no adapter. I did hdmi 2.1 and got the same result. Seems to be a thing with samsung's odyssey line. They suggested going 60hz, but fir some reason my monitor only has 120hz and 240hz.

My solution, a cheapee dell monitor plugged in for these purposes.

Oh well.
Is the iGPU disabled in BIOS? Speaking of BIOS, what BIOS version are you on for your motherboard? You forgot to mention the make and model of the PSU.
iGPU is set to auto in the bios. When I set it to disabled, I cannot see anything on the monitor, until I change monitors.
As for the BIOS, I'm running E7E59AMSI.2A40 (03/12/25) I see a new build, should I update it?
My PSU is a be quiet Dark Power Pro 13 1300w.

Update: I updated BIOS and still no change. Also the Samsung monitor would not display flash mode.

are you using a hdmi 2.1 cable for 4k
or display port and some converter?

last time I had a problem like this it was the converter/adapter i used. had the proper 2.1 cable but a old hdmi adapter converter. I updated the adapter and it worked as expected.
