No video when GPU's are connected

Okay, I just pu together my PC all good etc, then I connect it to a tv via hdmi, no video. Then I disconnect the GPU's and I get a display. I reconnect them and I am back to a no signal screen. Any thoughts on why? Is it because it needs the DVI? (I have not installed any drivers)

some mb and vidoe cards whe nnew have bios bugs., check to see that the mb has the newest bios file on it. in the bios under primany display set it to peg/pci and turn on muilt monitor support so all the video ports will turn on at power up.

Are you connecting the display to the GPU or just your motherboard? If you always have it connected to the motherboard, then everything is working as intended and it's just user error.

I connected it to thw mobo, what is the point of connecting it to the gpu?

That's the ENTIRE POINT! Plug it into the GPU and it'll work. This is just user error!
