Hey guys.

I am building a new pc and got myself a Noctua Cpu Cooler. The mobo is MSI X670E Socket Am5 and my cpu is AMD Ryzen 7950X3D.

The cpu cooler has both am4 and am5 base for different type of motherboards. However, when I use the AM5 chasis, the cpu cooler looks upwards hence the fans facing upwards. Ive had exactly the same pc but with a different CPU cooler. (Im building this for my sister).

What am I doing wrong here? Should I mount the AM4 chasis on top of the AM5 chasis as well? Ive found this quite bizarre.

Thank you

EDIT: There are the images:

It doesnt work with AM4 and it looks upwards when I use the AM5.

Noctua have a number of CPU coolers in their portfolio, both in stock and EoL, which one do you have?

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:

The cooler name and description says that its for AM4 for it has specifically AM5 metals and PC Builder didnt give any heads up for this.
