Noctua NF A14 PWM VS Fractal Venturi HP-14 PWM (140mm)

all i can say is this: there's not much of a difference between individual fans.
however, noctua fans are famous for being very quiet even at full loads, but this does not mean that the venturi's are loud, just louder than the noctua's, but still quite silent.
also, the noctua comes with a brown colour scheme, while the venturi's are mostly black.
so, if i were you, i'd go with the venturi's so that they might match the rest of the system (unless your pc has a brown colour scheme), but if you don't care about how they look, then the nf a14 are not bad.

tl;dr --> it doesn't matter

how well do you think a thermalright TY-147A would perform compared to Noctua NF A14? because I can buy two of those for the price of one noctua

again, performance doesn't really matter as you won't notice much of a difference either way
however, i would recommend against buying a product from thermaltake due to the whole thermalfake thing that went on about a year ago (simply put, they copied the designs of some of the other companies and called it their own)

i only care about performance, that a company has been douchy to other companies is not really my concern

what kind of performance boost are you looking to get out of these fans?
because, if it's cpu temps, then you're better off getting a more powerful cpu cooler

*you should care as moves like that are detrimental to the health of the industry as a whole, and as such, we should play our part in not supporting these types of companies.*

Already bought a powerful cpu cooler, just need decent fans to push air through my case cause i dont have any case fans at all.

I have that same Noctua fan as one of my intake fans...it does pull a lot of air in! I went for performance over looks and am quite happy with it.

I am not sure what you were looking at but according to your link the Fractal Design fans are much quieter than Noctua fans at 7V and 12V. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Noctua vs Fractal Design
12V @ 10cm: 44.6 dB(A) vs 40 dB(A)
7V @ 10cm: 31.2 dB(A) vs 19.4 dB(A)

The other specs are manufacturer specs which have no standards on how fans should be tested.

I was aware of the manufacturer specs and I don't trust them beyond speeds and dimensions. I only trust actual reviews and comparisons.

However, I do think they are essentially the same at 12V, as 41 and 44dB is essentially the same. But what isn't the same is the amount of airlfow. Noctua: 54cfm vs Fractal 42cfm. And the Fractal might be quieter at 7V, but if you are adding a case fan you probably want to push it close to max...and in this case 1450rpm.
Also, I have the NF A14PWM and at 70% I barely notice it. But I do slightly hear air at 100% (1450rpm) as it is 2ft away.
