lol omg tell me you wouldn't actually say that in seriousness as it's border line cringe worthy.
Nah I'd probably say, "Beige is the new black."
Anyone who comments on the color as a negative probably doesn't recognize that they are Noctuas, and/or doesn't recognize why their performance matters more than their color scheme. So I'd just shrug and say "They're the best."

Edit: I didn't see Skit's comment, he beat me to it! 😛

The problem with everyone here saying they're the best in performance so they can literally look like crap, but still be worth it is that people saying this are wrong. They haven't been the best performing fans for well over a year now, but this still do in fact look like crap. Benchmarks are out there people... use them.

Example: http://uk.hardware.info/reviews/2614/15/393-8092120140mm-case-fans-reviewed-test-results-120-mm---silent. Note how the Noctura fan is consistently in the middle here =/

While I never said it was the best, I do understand the point you're making. Noctua has brand recognition in their design. There is no mistaking one when you see one. That is a difficult thing to acquire and once you obtain it, you'd be foolish to toss it out. About that copper wheel cooler.... careful who you show that off to, hahah scrappers are everywhere and copper is $$$

Yea I hadn't either but I bought a Phanteks PH-TC12DX about 6 months ago. All the reviews said it outperformed the Noctua NH-D14 and costed less. It keeps my I7-3770k overclocked to 4.45Ghz below 50C always even at full load, and this isn't even their top range product. They have a PH-TC14PE which knocks off an extra 6C usually at minimum. If The Noctua NH-D15 can surpass it, then thats a huge increase in performance.
