I'll pretend you didn't say that, you can pretend I didn't realize you said that. I've tested hordes of fans, and I'll agree that when it comes to bang for the buck they aren't the leader. But when it comes to longevity, quality, and ACTUALLY meeting the specs that they advertise, which Corsair, Arctic, Thermaltake, Cooler master, Antec, and MANY others absolutely DO NOT based on a plethora of tests and reviews from a variety of sources, including my own tests, there isn't really a comparison. Corsair has some decent products. So does Arctic. At decent prices really. But truthfully, they don't hold up to the level of engineering, manufacturing and quality control behind Noctua's fans and this bears out through basically ANYBODY's testing if they are reputable. Look at Aris's stuff, since he's testing fans now with his fancy new equipment. Noctua is at the top of most charts from sources with leading edge testing equipment. And, I've used most all products out there that are reputable, and in real world use, which matters far more to me, they are simply quieter, and the very first Noctua fan I bought about 2006, is still running to this day. Of the probably 120 or so Noctua fans I've purchased for myself and clients, to my knowledge, only two have ever failed and those failed within the 6 year warranty and all Noctua required was that I send them a picture of the fan, it's label, and snap off one fin so they know I'm not trying to get over on them, and within days I had a new one in the mail.
You try that with ANY of these others companies. Pffffft. Good luck.
