I had installed skyrim and gta 5 which work fine. But when I start playing mirrors edge catalyst my laptop's fan becomes very noisy. It is a dell i7567
Spec: gtx1050 4gb
7th gen i5 7300 hq
Ram 8gb
Thanks a lot
I need a very quick response.

Fix'd.

You may think that GTA V is a "heavier" game, but in truth Mirror's Edge: Catalyst is very CPU and GPU intensive. If your fan is firing up when playing Catalyst, it's because your computer is having to work harder to run the game.

One option would be to buy a cooling pad for your laptop. I personally picked up one with 3 fans back when I started really gaming on my old laptop; prior to getting that, World of Tanks would actually BSOD the poor laptop due to overheating after about an hour or two of play.
Hi Gman450
I have tried that before but it is the same.
I play gta5 with very high graphic setting but for catalyst it makes my laptop's fan very noisy.
Is catalyst more demanding than gta 5?

It could be that the game maybe using a hundred percent of your gpu or cpu or both. There isn't much you can do about that. You could check the usage in task manager while you're playing the game. Maybe take a look at your temperatures while you're at it. Also, try updating your graphics drivers.

About Catalyst being more demanding, well, it kind of is. My PC ran GTA V better than Catalyst did and they both look good in their own ways.

Hi gman450
Sorry I accidentally press the arrow.
They both play very well but I think gta 5 is way better. They both play at 60 fps which is the max according to geforce experience.

I think you are right guys. When I use g force experience to optimize the game, the apps say that my laptop is not fully compatible with mirror edge. I am surprise to know that the bigger in size a game does not result to a more demanding game. Thanks guy for your patience.

Firstly i'll recommend you to update ur GPU Drivers to the latest.
Also you can try an app-Speedfan to manually control your fan speeds.
But setting it up is a tedious job but once done,u'll be fine.
Hope this helps and Happy Gaming.!!

Manually controlling the fan speed could lead to the GPU overheating. I wouldn't recommend going that route unless you really know what you're doing.

Updating the graphics driver is always a good idea, though.
