Hi,
I have an asus P5B-VM motherboard wich supports the lga 775 socket and i bought 2 sticks of 2gb 667mhz ddr2 but when i go in the bios, it says i only have 2816mb of ram. I tried different slots and sticks but same problem. On my copy of windows 7 utlimate 64bit, it tells i have 4gb but only 2.75gb usable. I am thinking it is maybe a limitation of the cpu wich is a core 2 duo e6420.

PLEASE help me.

Do you have the latest BIOS? What slots are the DRAM in? What's the model #s of the sticks? Sounds like the BIOS isn't wanting to read the one stick, but Win sees and is using it OK. The missing 1.25 from usable may well be allocated to hardware
