I am thinking about building my first PC, which I want to be able to run Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. I won't be using it for any gaming. I am wondering if I need a dedicated graphics card to run these programs, and If you have any hardware recommendations for a CPU and Motheboard that are compatible and powerfull enough. Any other first time build tips you wan a give will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Solution
I dont know your budget but here is my suggestion.
This is a professional build for photo editing.
With the 5th generation 6-core intel, the new DDR4 ram and Quadro GPU for photo/video/3D editting only.
You can replace the Quadro 4000 with a GTX 970 if you wanna play some games. You will not lose a lot of perfomance in editing.
