can a 8700 run at 4.00 ghz all the time. like 3.2 its base clock. it run 3.2 always. so can i make 4.0 ghz like base clock...so cpu run at 4.0 ghz all the time i run my pc?

No. Doing that is overclocking your CPU which is disabled on non-K SKUs. However turbo boost should be enabled which can set a couple cores to a higher frequency when it needs to, and if it isn't then there's probably an option for it in your BIOS.

That's about all you can do to get more clock speed out of your CPU.

ok then what would be better for me? i don't like to use a liquid cooler. and may be without that i can't overclock to 5ghz. so is non k chip is good for me......or should i go for k?

Why do you want to do that? What good would it be to have it run at 4.0GHz all the time, if it doesn't need to. This is wasteful.

It runs at 3.2GHz, but will automatically boost up to higher speeds if load/demand on it requires more power.

well when i will play games...u want to say it will automatically boost up to 4.3?

If it needs to, then, yes, it will. 4.3GHz if it's using more than 2 cores, 4.5GHz if only 2 cores are by the game, and 4.6GHz if the game is only relying on a single core.

That's assuming that the game requires a higher speed. It might not. Have you monitored your CPU speed and load while playing your games?

i didn't buy it yet. i will let u know...soon....i think i'm good with non k

I would buy a k just in case you wanna oc.
