My situation is that I have a headset with inline mic and the cables end in the classic 3.5mm green+pink jacks for mic and headphones. I would like to get an extension and at first I was thinking I would need a cable that had green/pink female on one side and green/pink male on the other side but for some reason those are really hard to find where I live. Instead, it's pretty easy to find a single 3.5mm female/male extension.
My question is if can I just buy 2 of those 3.5mm female/male extensions then plug one of them into the green and the other into the pink and it will be just fine? Or is there some difference between a mic cable extension and a headphone cable extension in this situation? The headset cables all have 2 stripes.
I found this image online of the cable I have so it's more clear: https://i.postimg.cc/DyS6YcS8/61278.jpg
