Dear all,

I have this Biometrics Device on LAN (e.g. 192.168.110.217) connected to a local server (PC) at 192.168.110.160, I can access the Biometrics Software via the LAN using different computers on the network.

May I know how can I access this kind of setup when I am out of town? Or via internet? Like connecting with the database on the Server PC using the WAN IP?

You need to create a VPN for your own usage. However usually it's not the commercial VPNs that are available on the market, they are for totally different purposes.

Look for tutorials for ZeroTier on youtube, for example.

Remember that VPN is slow, however. Transferring data or updating database remotely is not a good idea.

Better use remote control. (MS Remote Desktop, AnyDesk or alternatives)

AnyDesk is the easiest solution in my opinion. Of course you need a LAN PC (with AnyDesk installed) that's always on and connected to the server so you can control it from a remote desktop/PC running AnyDesk,
