Question Normal connection but super high ping on games

Internet works fine but as soon as i start a game it goes super slow and the ping is insanely high, i noticed on the task bar that the game, in this case rust, is barely using network(0.4Mbps), is this normal?

no, i dont think so, cause i can join matches and servers, its just that once i do join its unplayable with like 6000ping

btw how would someone block me from the game servers, cause i recall seeing my brother mess around with some code on his pc but i doubt he done anything of the sort, like hacking

It's possible that your system is performing an update. You might want to see if your system is pending any updates, both for drivers and the OS. Speaking of OS, what are you working with?

i'm on windows 11, i dont think it's updating anything since ive been having this issue for almost a week now.
