Normal GPU temps or overheating?

Hi, last month I bought a GTX 1050Ti for my crappy pre-built rig. I'm just a little concerned about the temperatures. While using my desktop or Google Chrome, it stays between 36C and 41C. While playing the most demanding game I have which is GTA V (although other games aren't that different) it stays between 76C and 78. In MSI afterburner the power limit is 100%, therefore setting the temp limit at 83C, although i've never seen it reaching 80. My CPU case is ventilated. Are these temps normal or is my new GPU going to eventually die? Yesterday while playing GTA I got a BSOD, so I installed the newest GPU drivers and it seems to be fixed. Also the weather in my area tends to get rather hot in summer time. My other PC specs are:

  • AMD FX 6300 CPU
    12GB RAM
    1TB HDD
    300W PSU
Don't really know the motherboard since it's a pre-built rig
Thank you in advance.

well abit high but nothing terrible, a gpu can go over 80°c and keep working, the problems happen over 90¬c, but this is a gtx 1050ti

are you using a fan curve, do you see the fan on it spinning?

what case do you have? on idle this gpu should be around 30 to 40, under load maximum on 70, very rare, unless you are living in ahot area, how hot is the weather there?

Nope, not using a fan curve. Should I set one? I don't know the case name, but you can look at this link: https://www.asus.com/us/Tower-PCs/CM1855/overview/ Outside my house the temp is usually around 93 or 98F. Inside I always have the AC on.

that is a no name no brand made only for asus

does it have one fan in the front and on in the back?

the fan curve could help but might get noisy, depends on the 1050ti you got

Well I started playing with the fan curve in MSI afterburner, and now while playing GTA V it stayed at around 67-69C. Looks like the default settings where causing it to go all the way to 78C. Also I barely could hear the fan over the sound of the game.
