Not sure oif this is the right place but here we go.
Was playing Far Cry 4, and started to get so drops in FPS, so i checked my temperature and it was at 82 degrees (Celsius). Is that normal for a GTX 660 SC, or should i be worried. I live in a tropical country, and with the summer coming, i'm worried i'll fry my GPU!
Cheers!!

I just started having the same issue with my 670, what drivers are you running and when was the last time you updated?

I'm running 344.75, before that i was running 340.something, and i updated yesterday. And i noticed the high temperature, when i was in the previouos drive. After updating there was no change. I'm not sure if it's just with Far Cry 4 or every game. I'll try increasing my fan speed, though i doubt it will solve the problem. :/

that is still in acceptable range. maybe your GPU already clogged with dust. and about the slow downs it only happen on high temperature? nvidia gpu boost peak (which is above boost rated spec) will go down by a bit by bit when temperature rise but i don't think it will affect frame rates much. what setting did you use? you can check VRAM usage with third parry software like MSI After Burner

I do have to clean it, will do it first thing in the morning. I'm not sure. But the game was running smoothly (45fps), and all of a sudden i started to get slow downs, checked the temp 80C. I was playing in High. I'll check the VRAM usage tomoroow aswell. (it's 4 in the morning where i live hahaha).
