Hello, I treated myself to this graphics card some time ago and while the perfromance is brilliant, I am somewhat worried about the temps this thing puts out. Not on all games though, as far as I can tell it's mainly Division 2 and Breakpoint that seem to be cooking my GPU to 80-82°C, whilst on the majority of other games the temps stay around the 72°C-ish mark.

The thing sits inside a full tower, I have two 140mm fans on the front and usually a 120mm as exhaust. I recently did a little test where I took off the exhaust fan and stuck it underneath the GPU forcing more air into the card, played Division 2 with a mate for several hours, and the temps seemed to go down by about 2-3°C. I was thinking about getting 2 more 140mm fans on the top to suck more warmth out. Is there anything else I can do to cool this thing? Or are these normal and/or safe temps and I shouldn't be worried?

Solution
Try to adjust your fan curve in afterburner.
+80 C seems a little too high tho this particular card is running hotter than other models of the 2060.

If it stays at around 83 C you should be fine according to NVIDIA's own words.
I'd suggest cleaning out your pc and tuning a better fan curve if you want lower temps.

Okay thanks. I already did turn up the fans in afterburner, at 80 C they run on 90% power. The fans are super loud though, once the GPU hits around 70 or 75 C. I did not expect so much noise from such an expensive card before buying, but it doesn't really bother me that much. As long as it works well and doesn't set my PC on fire then I don't mind some noise.
