Hello,

I think may be this topic already discussed here. Sorry if it is already discussed. 🙁

My issue is that I have a siemens pc with some important software in it. But due to breakdown of the motherboard i unable to use the software which is in hard disk.

I try to use the hard disk in another pc of different manufacturer of motherboard. But i am unable to do that because of driver issue, I have a backup image using Norton Ghost on another hard disk but still unable to boot the pc, is this related to driver issue?

Is there any way to boot up my pc with the image?

The software i mentioned have to be installed by the manufacturer itself and it cost me a lot of thousand dollars!

Please Help me! I really appreciate if some body guide me.

Thanks and Regards.

If you are running this software on Windows you should post the question in one of the Windows forums. But a quick answer is that you cannot restore an image taken on one hardware to a different specification and expect it to boot. I would say that if the software costs several thousand dollars then you should expect some support from the vendor with your problem. Contact them and explain the situation. They should be able to help you install the software on a replacement machine.
