Not able to boot

Whenever I connect my hard drive and boot PC it's shows screen with a msg

Ultra DMA mode-5 smart capable and status ok

I m not able to enter in bios setting when HDD is connected
What can I do?? Plz help

Need more details here, what hard drive is this, your main one, secondary drive, internal, external, was this a known good drive, need all details about what is happening.

I have only one HDD WD 1 TB.
If I connect my my HDD and power on machine it's only shows bios startup screen with msgs

Ultra DMA mode-5 smart capable and status ok

It even not allow me to enter in bios settings.
Once I disconnect HDD then only I able to enter in bios... Is there is prob with HDD??

Could be a bad drive, but maybe the cable or the SATA port. Like I said, need some details here, did this drive work before? Why did you remove it? New build? Were there issues with the drive before you were trying to fix? Are you actually hitting the BIOS key to try to get into the BIOS or are you just letting the thing boot on it's own? Did you try resetting the BIOS to defaults? Try another cable? Try the drive in another system or with an external enclosure?

Not sure why you would see this message an nothing else when another drive works in the system and yours works fine in another one. Did anything happen before the issue started? You may just want to use another drive that works instead of this one.

I think the HDD is perfectly fine, there is bug in the AMIBIOS. It hangs when partitions has certain sizes. Stumbled on this myself. BIOS did not like the first partition on the dirive, which was exactly 4 GiB (8388608 sectors). Had to find another PC with different BIOS manufacturer and resize this partition. Aftrer resizing to 2 GiB, BIOS accepted it. I did not try any other size.
