Not able to connect headphone

recently i install windws 7, after tht I cant hear by head phone .
alraedy i check the jack . i can hear speakers but not head phone plezz help me .. i didnt find any seeting to start the head phone . previous in windows xp i simultaneously hear speaker aswell haed phone . plezz helpme out .

Have you installed the drivers? When you tried the speakers were you hooking them up to the same Jack as where you tried the headphones?

If your speaker is connect to your back panel.... and your headset connect to your front panel.... make sure on the audio source you choose the Front panel output ....otherwise it is output to the back panel...

also plug your headset to where you plug the speaker if it still not work .... then looks is yoru headset issue..

Also check if the front panel audio connector is connected to your mobo.
