Hi, for further context on my issue. I changed my hard drive to SSD and once I installed windows 10 on my new hard drive, I was not able to connect to the internet. I did some digging and I was able to figure out I don't have the driver for the ethernet port.

My motherboard is Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4 and I Installed Realtek Lan driver ver:10023 from the motherboard site which than I came across a new issue "controller was not found if deep sleep mode is enabled please plug the cable."

I decided to go directly to the source and downloaded RealTek Win10 auto installation program version 10.50. I also downloaded Diagnostic program version 2.9.7.1. I came across the same issue.

Here's a small list of things I looked at so far:

Checked that my ethernet cable is working
Ethernet port is amber color (I think it's been that way)
BIOS shows deep sleep is turned off

Any clue as to why I'm having issues installing the driver?

P.S, no clue how to include images here but here's a link to the errors and my network adapters: View: https://imgur.com/a/eSBgHEu

Go to motherboard manufacturer support web page,
download chipset drivers and
instal them.
Then download Realtek lan drivers (from same page) and
install those.

Thank you for the quick response unfortunately I fell asleep. I downloaded AMD chipset driver ver:2.11.26.106 and reinstalled Realtek Lan driver ver:10023 as per your suggestion and still had same the results.

I updated my BIOS to 3.40 and my VGA driver ver:18.50.16.01_WHQL as the website advised. The previous version was 1.50 and tried again with the same results.

Anything else you can think of would be greatly appreciated.

Generally there is a motherboard driver you must load before you even attempt to load ethernet drivers. I can not tell from your screenshots but windows will act like there is no ethernet device and after you load the motherboard drivers you will at least see the hardware but it will complain it is missing drivers.

Thank you, that makes complete sense. I think that is what happened they were not correctly installed when I booted the new hard drive. I can provided further screenshot if you can tell me where to go.

I have no idea there should be a driver you download from the motherboard manufacture site. I would find the manual for your motherboard and read the instructions on how to install windows. They normally tell you what you need to run to install the first drivers.
