Hey guys,
I just built my own PC and installed Windows 10 using the installation tool you download to an USB stick on Microsoft's site. This gave me a plain old vanilla version of Windows 10. Now the problem is I am having constant freezes and bluescreens. It always happens only after a few minutes of booting windows up. It doesn't allow me to update to build 1809 or patch anything really using Windows Update due to it being too slow to update before I get a bluscreen or PC hangs on me forcing me to force power off. I think these problems might be due to old drivers or simply old and buggy drivers not working well with my new PC components? I can't install any drivers manually either for the components due to them requiring a newer version of Windows 10, so I am caught in a loop here. Do you have any advice or do you think it might be faulty components?

My build:

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
Asus X470-F Gaming
Corsair Vengeance DDR4 LPX 2x16GB
Samsung 970 PRO 1TB
Corsair HX750
Cooler Master ML240L RGB
ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Gaming OC

Thanks in advance for any advice you might have!

you got the usb iso maker but where did you get the os .
I just downloaded the Windows 10 Installer Tool from Microsoft's site, it contains the basics while the rest of the OS is downloaded I presume: I have a Windows 10 license from before and I activated the install on my new PC by logging in to my Microsoft account.

Did you install the AMD chipset drivers after installing Windows?

If not, you should. Get them here:

https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/x470

After installing the chipset drivers, reinstall the most recent Nvidia drivers.

https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/144363

By the way, if you downloaded Win 10 from MS recently, it would have been 1809 from the start.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

I did install the chipset drivers but the Nvidia drivers won't install on my version of Windows 10, it requires a more up to date version, I tried. And no, I didnt get 1809 from the install tool, it just gave me basic vanilla version....
